Microneedling

Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that uses a device with fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface. These tiny punctures stimulate the body’s natural healing process, boosting collagen and elastin production for firmer, smoother, and more radiant skin.

Why should I try Microneedling?

Candidates
Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure designed to rejuvenate the skin, reduce the appearance of scars, and improve overall skin texture. Ideal candidates for microneedling generally include people who are concerned with acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, hyperpigmentation or sun spots, stretch marks, mild skin laxity, rough or uneven skin texture, and dull skin tone.

Treatment Process
A consultation is scheduled in order to determine eligibility. If approved, on the day of the appointment, the skin is cleansed with a gentle cleanser, then a topical numbing cream is applied and left on for 30 minutes to minimize discomfort. The skin is prepped with Isopropyl Alcohol to remove any bacteria. A microneedling pen is moved across the skin, and tiny, controlled punctures are created in the epidermis and superficial dermis. The depth typically ranges from 0.25 mm to 2.5 mm, depending on skin concern and area. Depending on treatment concerns, PRP or exosomes may also be applied topically.

Frequently Asked Questions

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves using a device with fine needles to create tiny, controlled punctures (micro-injuries) in the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural wound healing processes, which in turn promotes collagen and elastin production — proteins essential for firm, smooth, and youthful-looking skin.

Microneedling is commonly used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, stretch marks, uneven skin tone or texture, and hyperpigmentation.

PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma, a concentration of platelets derived from your own blood that is rich in growth factors and healing properties. A small amount of your blood is drawn, the blood is spun in a machine to separate the plasma from red and white blood cells, and then the PRP is collected and prepared for topical application.

Exosomes are tiny, naturally occurring vesicles that are secreted by cells, specifically stem cells, and act as messengers between them. They’re loaded with bioactive molecules like proteins, lipids, mRNA, and growth factors, and they play a critical role in cell communication, regeneration, and healing.

Yes, microneedling can be combined with other treatments, such as Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), for enhanced results. This combination can further stimulate collagen production and accelerate healing, offering even greater improvements in skin texture and tone.

Microneedling is safe for most skin types and tones. However, it is not recommended for those with active acne, severe rosacea, or certain skin conditions. A consultation with your clinician will determine if microneedling is the right treatment for you.
