Laser Tattoo Removal
Laser tattoo removal uses targeted laser energy to break down tattoo ink particles within the skin, allowing the body’s lymphatic system to gradually eliminate them. Multiple sessions are typically required, spaced 6–8 weeks apart, with fading visible after each treatment. Complete removal varies based on ink color, depth, and skin type, with most patients seeing significant results over a series of treatments.

Laser Tattoo Removal: Why You Should Go for It?
Day 1: Redness, swelling, warmth, or pinpoint bleeding are normal. A white “frosting” appearance may be visible immediately post-treatment. Apply a cool compress (not ice) to reduce swelling and discomfort and cover the area with a non-stick sterile dressing if needed. Apply a thin layer of antibiotic ointment and avoid tight clothing over the area. Do not pick, scratch, or rub the treated area. Avoid direct sun exposure, hot tubs, swimming pools, and saunas.
Day 2: Mild tenderness, redness may persist, and blistering may occur. These are all a normal part of the healing process. Continue applying antibiotic ointment 2–3 times a day. Leave any blisters intact, do not pop or tamper with them. Keep the area clean and dry and re-bandage as needed.
Day 3: Blisters may begin to dry or drain on their own, and scabbing may begin to form. Gently clean with mild soap and water, pat dry and apply antibiotic ointment or healing ointment.
Days 4-7: Scabs may thicken and begin to flake and itching is common as healing progresses. Do not pick or peel scabs, apply moisturizer as needed, and continue avoiding sun, saunas, hot tubs, and swimming pools.
Day 8: Most surface healing is complete, and fading will continue over the next few weeks. If needed, schedule the next session 6-8 weeks after the date of your laser session.

Why Choose YMD For Laser Tattoo Removal?
The number of sessions required for the best results varies based on the tattoo’s size, color, and age. Discuss your medical history with a healthcare provider and follow their advice on adjusting medications and skincare routines. Stay away from UV rays and self-tanning products before treatment to prevent negative reactions. Refrain from waxing or tweezing for one to two weeks prior to your session.

Frequently Asked Questions
Laser tattoo removal uses high-intensity pulses of light to shatter tattoo ink into tiny particles, which are then gradually cleared by your body’s lymphatic system. Different wavelengths target different ink colors for safe, effective fading over time.
Most tattoos can be significantly faded or fully removed. However, certain ink colors (like pastel tones, fluorescent pigments, or white) can be resistant. Complete removal is more likely with black ink and multiple sessions.
Absolutely. We can target specific sections of a tattoo or perform partial removal to lighten it enough for a new design. Many clients do this before getting a cover-up.
We typically recommend 6–8 weeks between sessions, though some people may need 8–12 weeks if they’re prone to slow healing, hyperpigmentation, or have darker skin tones.
